Dr. Levon Chookaszian, Yerevan State University, Yerevan, Armenia, for a copy of Hayrenadarts Iranahay Demker (Yerevan, 1997), 192pp., in Armenia, by his late father Dr. Papken Chookaszian. The book contains biographical notes on 134 Iranian-Armenians, in the field of science and culture, who had immigrated to Armenia in the years 1918-1990.
Dr. Bedross Der Matossian, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, for a copy of his new book, Shattered Dreams of Revolution: From Liberty to Violence in the Late Ottoman Empire (Stanford: Stanford University Press, 2014), in English 249pp. This book is a study of the Ottoman Revolution of 1908, and discusses the raised hopes of Armenians, Arabs, and Jews, which later were turned into pessimism.
Hrach Kaspar, Geneva, Switzerland, for a copy of Hayots Patmutian Ejer: Italatsi nkarichneri grafikakakn ashkhatank‘nerum (Yerevan: Foreign Ministry of Armenia, 2007), 99pp., in Armenian. A beautiful reprint of a Vienna Mkhitarian publication, probably originally published in the late 19th century.
